Support for families

Lynsey Paterson - 505BD14C-FCB0-41A4-9B1

Support for families is not a one size fits all!

We recognise that each family is on their own journey and the support you need at different stages varies.

InTogether offer a range of different supports for families who have children with additional support needs.

We want to see families and children supported to lead their best lives in a place where they belong and are understood.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

PARENT WHO CAME ALONG TO FUNTOGETHER GROUP

I was nervous at first to come along but as soon as we were there we both felt so welcomed and comfortable. It was one of the best decisions I made to come along and connect with InTogether

PARENT WHO ATTENDED A RETREAT

I loved the wonderful retreat space.  I still have the calm atmosphere in my mind, heart and soul.  I really feel the benefit of taking the time out for myself.

PARENT WHO COMES ALONG TO COFFEE AND CHAT

I think it's not an exaggeration to say that being involved in this community has been the single biggest thing that has helped us as a family, and to help me grow as a mum of two lovely little boys with additional needs

FunTogether

Inclusive play space for preschool children who have (or may have) additional support needs and their parents to play together and meet others.  Each group is supported by InTogether Volunteers.

Funtogether PLUS

Play sessions for school aged children who have additional support needs where the whole family can come and play together  These sessions are usually run during school holidays and inservice days.  Siblings get to come and join in the fun too!

Parent coffee and chat

A monthly session for parents who have children with additional support needs (all ages) to come together and get peer support from other parents who share a similar journey.

Wellbeing support

Parenting children with additional needs brings its unique challenges and this can bring extra pressure to parents.  InTogether have a range of different ways we support parents' wellbeing.

PARENT RETREATS

Time out for parents who have children with additional support needs to focus on wellbeing for your mind, body and soul.  Lay down your responsibilities and come and rest!

exploration and deepening FAITH

We offer different ways to explore and experience the Christian faith that are inclusive for families who have children who have additional support needs. No prior experience necessary!
